Raised by his parents, Surjit Singh and Kawaljit Kaur, Param chose an unconventional path after completing his higher secondary (10+2) education. Instead of pursuing a traditional university degree, he decided to turn his creative hobbies into a full-time career.
To hone his skills, Param enrolled at the prestigious Virtual Eye Film Academy in Industrial Area Phase 7, Mohali. The professional training provided him with a strong foundation in film direction, preparing him to work alongside some of the biggest names in the industry.

Despite his young age, Param has already built an impressive portfolio by assisting several established directors. He has served as an associate and assistant director on multiple high-profile Punjabi feature films. His notable cinematic credits include:
