MOHALI: The Punjabi film and music industry is experiencing a massive wave of fresh talent, and leading the charge behind the camera is young filmmaker Param Talwandi. Born Paramjit Singh, the talented associate and assistant director is rapidly gaining recognition for his technical expertise and creative vision in Pollywood.

A Passion Rooted in Punjab

Hailing from the village of Talwandi Bhangwan, Param’s journey into the world of cinema began with a personal passion for photography, music, and movies. Raised by his parents, Surjit Singh and Kawaljit Kaur, Param chose an unconventional path after completing his higher secondary (10+2) education. Instead of pursuing a traditional university degree, he decided to turn his creative hobbies into a full-time career.

To hone his skills, Param enrolled at the prestigious Virtual Eye Film Academy in Industrial Area Phase 7, Mohali. The professional training provided him with a strong foundation in film direction, preparing him to work alongside some of the biggest names in the industry.

Major Cinema and Music Credits

Despite his young age, Param has already built an impressive portfolio by assisting several established directors. He has served as an associate and assistant director on multiple high-profile Punjabi feature films. His notable cinematic credits include:

  • Blue Van – The highly anticipated film starring renowned singer-actor Ravinder Grewal.
  • Wife Peke Husband Theke – Directed by the master of Punjabi comedies, Smeep Kang.
  • Hanji Kaun? and Riste Naate – Both featuring popular actor Love Gill.
  • Jawai Bhai – Another significant addition to his growing filmography.

Param’s creative footprint extends deeply into the vibrant Punjabi music video industry. He has contributed significantly to major music video releases, including popular tracks like “Raunak”, “Tang Kardi”, “Gehne Jattan De”, and “Teri Yaad”. One of his career highlights includes working closely on the acclaimed music album Punjab by legendary artist Ravinder Grewal.
