Cannes Film Festival confirms 2026 Official Selection announcement date

The Cannes Film Festival has confirmed it will unveil the Official Selection for its 79th edition on April 9 at 11:00am Paris time.

The titles will be announced by Cannes president Iris Knobloch and delegate general Thierry Frémaux.

This year’s festival will take place from Tuesday May 12 to Saturday May 23.

South Korean director, screenwriter and producer Park Chan-wook will preside over the competition jury.

No films have yet been confirmed for this year’s Cannes line-up.
